Introduction Welcome to MyRa Designs. My name is Myrto and I'm the designer and maker behind the brand. I'm a self-taught contemporary jeweller and I had been making jewellery and developing my style and techniques for almost a decade, before MyRa Designs was officially launched in 2022. The brand was born as a result of my love for the dark and unconventional as well as my need for self-expression and experimentation. Every piece of jewellery I make is an extension of my personality and explores themes I connect with greatly. My designs reflect my passions in life and the way I view and interpret the world. |
My Philosophy Intrigued by natural textures and primitive forms, I try to create pieces that evoke thoughts and emotions, encapsulating the transient yet timeless beauty of things; like relics of the past, that are unearthed to tell their story. My creative process is unforeseeable and intuitive. Each design starts as a vague idea and slowly takes form, as I let my materials and my instinct guide me to the final outcome. Tactile in nature, every piece is an invitation for you to explore its surface and experience the intricate textures up close. All of my pieces are meticulously hand-carved one by one, so that each one of them is nuanced and unique in its own manner. Think of this uniqueness as parallel to your own individuality, your own unique story and experiences that give life to the pieces as you wear and interact with them. My ultimate goal with my craft is to create for you adornments that will become a part of you.
